Confused About The Type Of Tampons? Here’s What You Need To Know!
Life is…complicated, to say the least. There is so much information thrown at us all the time that it becomes hard to decide what to take in and what to let go of. Wouldn’t it be easier if there was just someone around to tell you everything you needed to know without the hassle of all this overloaded information all around? We wish the same too. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make it easier for you where we can, right?
You’ve always been confused about what kind of tampons are available in the market. It also doesn’t help when you don’t know where to start. We’re here to clear your doubts and get you on your way to getting your first tampon. Buying tampons should not be a harrowing experience.
Tampons are so easy to use and to carry around and you should always have one on your person (not quite literally but in your bag at least!). So let’s get straight to it.
Type, Types and Types- This Is All You Should Know
In India, you will find two types of tampons in the market. Applicator and Non-applicator types.
They are further distinguished by the flow of periods. Soft, regular and heavy. That’s it!! There’s nothing else to it.
Applicator tampons come with a plastic mechanism that slides out and helps guide the tampon into place. They are super easy to insert and fit snugly into place. They are hygienic as well since you don’t need fingers to insert them. Hands can never be too clean for anything (you know, bacteria and all).
The Non-Applicators don’t come with the plastic mechanism but have the same role. They just need your fingers to insert.
Now that you know the two types of tampons, all you have to do is to find out what tampon suits you best in terms of your flow. It’s best to start with a soft or a regular flow tampon at first. If the flow is too much, you’ll know and can move on to the next higher flow absorbing tampon and figure out which one is the most comfortable for you.
There is always the doubts with tampons about how they cause Toxic Shock Syndrome(TSS) but that’s not the case as long as you keep changing them regularly after a period of 4-8 hours.
If you’re in the market for regular flow and heavy flow applicators then Sofy has some great products on offer. They are available on Amazon and in your daily general stores.
It has been a misconception that tampons are not good for you. They are much easier to use than what you’ve been told. And now that you know which tampon is good for you, we can’t wait for you try them.
